Construction View Steps
Various methods available, but only those that are structurally solid and most environmentally economic.
Foundation - Prior to pouring the slab, the soil condition is evaluated and proper conditioning is done in order to produce maximum strength and stability.
All slabs are a minimum of four inches thick, reinforced by a combination of half inch and 3/8 inch rebar, and steel matting. Slabs are supported both on the perimeter and centrally, by reinforced concrete beams, poured at the same time as the slab. Beams are a minimum of 14 inches deep and 12 inches wide.
All concrete is rated at 200kg/cm2 and is purchased from CEMEX, one of the largest cement and concrete manufactures in the world.
Exterior Walls – Although many materials are available, for maximum strength and energy efficiency we recommend six inch concrete block with a 2 inch exterior foam, or Perform Wall (www.performwall.com).
Interior Walls – Your choice of concrete block or stud and sheetrock.
Roof – eight inch thick foam panels, supported by steel reinforced custom made concrete beams, covered by three inches of steel reinforced concrete.
Interior finishing – custom built cabinetry, tile work, and plaster are standard. Upgrades of granite and marble are available.
Exterior finish – stucco. Custom design and treatment available as an upgrade.
