Please use my story as a letter of recommendation for Team MAPRO.
My family and I purchased a lot in Mision Los Sahuaros several years ago with the intention of building our dream beach home. Initially we interviewed several contractors and selected one that will go UN-named.
We had a basic design and after many communications back and forth the architect finally got the plans right. Let me add that the builder we chose spoke perfect English. Speaking and listening are two different functions. Anyway, when the bid returned we were in shock! The numbers were not only way over our budget, they were insanely higher than we were initially told.
We fired our first choice and sent out a call for help to our neighbors in Los Sahuaros. We received many recommendations and in the end had three options for builders with MAPRO being the highest recommendation. We chose the top three and scheduled interviews.
When we met Carlos we were immediately blown away by the level of enthusiasm and creativity that he showed for our project. One of our other interviews showed up 2 hours late, and the other one was very stiff and UN-exciting. Carlos looked at our plans and had many great ideas for changes that would better utilize the uneven grade of our lot. We met him at 10 a.m. and that afternoon he returned with a preliminary redesigned plan and rough estimate. The prices were right in line with our budget and were we ever excited and impressed. We had made more progress in one afternoon than months with our previous choice!
We wired a deposit to MAPRO and they started on our new plans. Upon receiving the new design we were very impresses with what they had done with our floor plan. The home had gone from a pretty basic single level split floor plan to a beautiful larger multi level hacienda with a subterranean garage. They had redesigned our home and turned a $13,000.00 retaining wall into more livable usable space with no extra cost! Our decision to go with MAPRO seemed to be paying off already.
After all of the numbers and details were finalized the construction began promptly as promised and is actually ahead of schedule. Our new home should be complete by July and we could not be happier!

The MAPRO team suggested several design improvements for our home. They take great pride in creating a visually appealing appearance to ensure customer satisfaction. And our structure is very sound. During the recent rains many neighbors who used other builders had serious water leakage, but our home is water-tight. We're very glad to have MAPRO as our builder, and also as our friends.
